Lambrini Girls by Jessie Morgan
(March 31, 2026) — Brighton’s rising punk force Lambrini Girls are back with a vengeance, unleashing their latest single, “Cult of Celebrity”—a blistering, no-holds-barred takedown of power, privilege, and the rot lurking beneath the surface of global fame.
Comprised of Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Selin Macieira (bass), the duo wastes no time setting the tone. From its opening guitar lick, “Cult of Celebrity” charges forward with relentless energy—thrashing, urgent, and unapologetically confrontational. It’s a track that doesn’t just critique the elite—it tears straight through them.
In their own words, Lambrini Girls frame the single as a furious response to the ongoing exposure of corruption and exploitation among those in power:
“The age old tale, of selling your soul to the devil has been fabled accounts of high society for years. However due to recent events come to light—it turns out that the elite are very much actually, the devil incarnate… What a fucking surprise! They had no souls to sell in the first place.”
The release is paired with an equally striking visual, directed by London-based filmmaker Harv Frost, known for work with artists like The Last Dinner Party and Laufey. The video amplifies the track’s chaotic energy, leaning into the band’s signature blend of satire, rage, and unfiltered honesty.
Already hailed as one of the most electrifying live acts to emerge from the UK in recent years, Lambrini Girls are set to bring their explosive performances across the U.S. and Europe throughout 2026. Their upcoming run includes headline North American dates—like a stop at Warsaw in Brooklyn—alongside major festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound, Way Out West, and more.
The duo first kicked down the door to global recognition with their 2025 debut album Who Let The Dogs Out, a raw and ferocious introduction that quickly spread across the rock world. Praised for its biting commentary and explosive sound, the record earned coverage from outlets like Kerrang!, Paste, and Pitchfork, the latter noting its “righteous fury” in tackling misogyny and homophobia head-on.
They’ve since drawn admiration from punk and alternative icons including Kathleen Hanna, Iggy Pop, and Sleater-Kinney, while sharing stages with heavy-hitters like IDLES and Amyl and the Sniffers.
With “Cult of Celebrity,” Lambrini Girls double down on everything that makes them impossible to ignore: sharp wit, unfiltered rage, and a fearless commitment to calling it exactly as they see it.
Watch the video, turn it up loud—and if you catch them live this spring, consider yourself warned.
