Nuclear Daisies at Show Bar Portland – 11/12/25

Catching Nuclear Daisies at Show Bar in Portland on November 12, 2025 felt like stumbling into the perfect musical discovery at the perfect time. I’d already had their songs “Heaven in Your Head” and “Cinnamon Kiss” on repeat for weeks, so finding out they were touring through Portland was nothing short of magic. Nuclear Daisies is a true powerhouse, made up of Rob Glynn (ex–Temple of Angels), Alex Gehring (Ringo Deathstarr), and Robby Williams.

A Vibe-Heavy Night at Show Bar (Under Revolution Hall)

Show Bar—tucked underneath Revolution Hall created the ideal intimate setting for Nuclear Daisies’ dreamy, chaotic, 90s-apocalypse energy. The smaller room somehow made everything bigger. Their entire vibe took over the space the second they hit the stage.

The light show immediately set the tone: a super-dark, moody backdrop washed in shifting rainbows, neon pulses, and drifting shapes that moved across the band like another member of the lineup. It felt cinematic—like stepping straight into the soundtrack of a retro sci-fi film or a cult-favorite 90s dystopian movie.

Nuclear Daisies’ Sound: Brain-Melting in the Best Way

Their music hits this wild blend of fuzzy distortion, dreamy vocals, and swirling synth textures that make your brain feel like it’s melting, but, like, in the perfect “I never want this to end” way. Live, it becomes even more immersive. Every track felt bigger, heavier, and more transportive than the last.

I walked in already obsessed, and somehow walked out even more obsessed.

Local Opener: Kallai

Portland locals Kallai opened the night with a set that fit seamlessly into the dreamy, psychedelic atmosphere. Their sound warmed up the room in the best way with their alt shoe gaze vibes and set the stage for Nuclear Daisies’ otherworldly set.

Final Thoughts

If you get the chance to catch Nuclear Daisies live, especially in a smaller venue like Show Bar, don’t sleep on it. Their performance is immersive, cinematic, and absolutely hypnotic.
